About Me
Tamara Sarah Madramuthu

Solo Exhibition, 2024: Luminosity of Nature's Void.
Tamara Sarah Madramuthu (she/her) is a
Guyanese-Canadian multi-media artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from York University (2024). She is now in her first year of her Bachelor of Education at York University, set to be completed 2026.
Primarily creating work through the mediums of mono printing, intaglio, and chine collé, Madramuthu also engages with sculpture and lens-based mediums to deconstruct current understandings of space and time. Her practices, rooted in the cyclical rhythms of time and the changing seasons, seamlessly explore the relationship between the transformative elements of art and nature. At the heart of her artistic practice is a deep immersion in the natural world, drawing inspiration from elemental forces found in diverse landscapes. This connection has instilled an appreciation for the profound beauty present in nature's unknown elements. This artistic process involves hands-on exploration, where she seeks organic treasures from leaves and branches to flowers, berries, seeds, and the bounty of the earth in the form of produce, all of which leave indelible imprints on the surfaces of her creations. Her love and pursuit of the natural world through art is inspired by her late grandmother.
